South Korea – Earlier in 2012 cgd landscape design was invited by Suncheon Bay Garden Expo to prepare an urban garden to be a featured indoor installation in 2013. The design is budget led and uses locally reclaimed or scavenged materials, a simple selection of hardy plants sourced from local nurseries. The garden will be edgy using rammed earth, rusted metal rails and crushed aggregates contrasting with ethereal grasses and specimen trees to provide a welcome refuge in a uncultivated landscape. cgd will be working closely with the organisers of the Expo to create this modern scheme. The festival opens in April until October 2013.

Berlin – Last year we submitted a very detailed design proposal for a new ‘English Theme Garden’ to be built in the ‘Gardens of the World’, a large landscaped park in Berlin –Marzahn-Hellerdorf, Germany. The budget for the project is €1 million. This is a prestigious project and we were delighted to have been shortlisted along with 4 other internationally renowned Landscape Architecture practices. The tender for the design proposal covers a 4 hectare area in the North West part of the park.
