Sally and Helen are award winning garden and landscape designers in London, with numerous RHS medals at London, Chelsea and Hampton Court Flower Shows.
Also they are winners of awards at the prestigious SGD Annual awards, APLD Awards in USA, New Homes and Garden, online design website Houzz and lastly they are accredited garden designers for Wildlflower Turf.
Helen and Sally are also registered Members and Fellows of the UK Society of Garden Designers and regularly work with other professionals Including architects, interior designers and project managers. These collaborations work to extend and interpret the house style and design of, for example, a new residential development, integrating the garden into the surrounding landscape – the spirit of the place underpins the design development of all our outside spaces.
Sally and Helen have recently celebrated their 10 year anniversary after setting up cgd Landscape Designers. During that time, we have designed a huge variety of gardens for clients in London and the South East, some modest and other large private spaces. Other projects have taken us overseas to Moscow, New England and California in USA, Morocco, Latvia and Jersey.
During their careers Sally has written several books including The Modern Garden Makers and Roses in Modern Gardens and Helen has been on the Editorial Advisory panel for the Garden Design Journal for over 10 years. Both have also taught budding garden and landscape designers at the Inchbald College of Garden Design in London, the Oxford College of Garden Design and the London School of Arts.
Both Helen and Sally have been actively involved in the ongoing development of the Society of Garden Designers, including serving on Council.
Responsibilities included Treasurer, running shows, conferences and serving on the adjudication panels which assess new garden and landscape designers’ applications for registered membership.
