Roof Garden in London
A small roof terrace designed to reflect the owners’ love of copper and his eclectic art collection. The decking and timber clad walls, screening the boiler and air conditioning rooms, were painted a matt nearly black colour to contrast with the polished six sided sawn stone surround. The copper wall sculptures were designed in collaboration with Shelley Thomas, a blacksmith who turned her hand to sculpting copper. The timber planters, with three Amelanchier trees, and box for structure and privacy, alternate with 6 hand beaten reclaimed copper vases from Bronzino.
