Narrow Garden in Twickenham

Narrow Garden in Twickenham
A long narrow garden designed to echo the new architectural detailing of the refurbished town house. Grey basalt pavers compliment the cladding of the rear of the house, as does the water feature that divides the garden. The client wanted lots of fruit and to encourage birds and wildlife. An espaliered apricot, crab apple tree, step over apples, blackcurrant, tayberry and gooseberry bushes fit the bill with the pond bringing in frogs and wildlife to share the garden. A glass house or studio will be added next year, when the second seating area will be used to catch the evening sunshine.
